I am going to be a audio engineering student soon and will be starving on KD and water because of loans. I was wondering if the Union offerd jobs to those who are currently in school for the desired job they want. Like weekend fill ins for sound or something. I am sending out my permittee form soon.

Internships?

So, here's my situation. I'm a US citizen, living in Richmond BC. I moved here in 2002, after winning a scholarship to CDIS (now AiV-Burnaby). I finished that program last summer, and I'm now married to a Canadian citizen, living here on a Temporary Resident Permit, while I'm waiting for my Permanent Residence application to come through.

I'm not legally allowed to work in Canada until I get my Permanent Residence, and I'm going stir-crazy. Does anyone know of any internship opportunities in the area, to keep busy in the industry until I'm legal?
